Navigating complex opportunities

At International Development, our mission is to help multilateral organizations, UN entities, governments and the private sector conceptualize and implement projects impacting developing countries around the world.
We do this by providing comprehensive advisory services that are tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our team is committed to delivering top-notch results that exceed expectations.

We offer a wide range of services, including the review and negotiation of financing agreements with several funding sources, including the UN, WB, EC, USAID, EXIM, ISDB, AFDB, ADB, IDB and dozens of bilateral donors.
We provide training on how to engage the United Nations and the World Bank. We advise on the interpretation of general terms and conditions. Our team has the expertise to help clients across various industries achieve their goals.

Professor Benedetta Audia, Principal of International Development, is the leading expert on UN and World Bank procurement and implementation arrangements. With nearly two decades at the UN and her previous experience at DLA Piper as partner and chair of the firm's International Development practice, she brings unmatched expertise in international development law, project structuring, and dispute resolution. She teaches at GWU, Fordham, and LUISS, serves on the boards of Global Citizen, AFLA and NYC Opera, and is a recognized thought leader on procurement, international law and global strategy.

David Rush, Senior Advisor and Counsel, helps our clients navigate a variety of complex opportunities related to the strategic development of project concepts – and finding pathways to implement them effectively. David joins International Development after serving with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for 14 years in leadership and legal roles – advising U.S. government leadership and partnering with bilateral and multilateral partners in highly complex settings. His most recent role was as Acting Mission Director for USAID/Somalia; he previously served as the Agency’s Foreign Service Deputy General Counsel. Before serving as a U.S. diplomat, David worked as a litigator with Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton in New York City.
